One day of winter and all I can say it sucks LOL

Started out as a ice pellet storm that stuck to the hydro wires making them heavy and breaking them from the strong winds.
Power was off from early last night.
Funny with the power off even had no cell service or very very poor connection as I guess the tower close to me got knocked out.
House temp got down to 48 degrees F
Stayed in bed till I could see what the heck I was doing
Found my Mr Buddy Ice fishing heater and got the house temp up to 59 degrees F
Got the blow torch out and heated up some left over coffee in a pot so I could have a coffee.
Went outside to clear the doorways of snow so I could get outside, had to use the sliding glass door as the front and back door would not open from the piled up snow.
Tried starting the snowblower and broke the dam pull cord, remember no power for the electric start :(
Fixed that and did the driveway and deck
Put everything that was getting warm in the fridge into a snowbank
Got back inside and the power came back on, go get the stuff I just put outside and put it back into the fridge.
What a fricking day. Think its beer time or maybe two or three :)

    LOL.
And I was bitching this morning because my truck had a thin layer of ice on it. I love Florida. Figure Lakeland is to far north for me. (Lakeland, Florida)

20161119_111611.jpg 20161119_111911.jpg We have no snow in Winnipeg yet, but I drove thru this on Saturday. Probably the same system that hit you. This is Orr, Minnesota. Half way between Duluth and International Falls. 18 inches.
