Just joined the forum. Getting a lot of good info. I hope I'm posting in the correct section. I've been looking at the great variety of wraps. Thought I'd try a quick paint job first. Brass with burnt copper accents. Added a little gear (sorry for the poor pics) for a Steampunkish look.

Cool, did you remove the top frame and paint or just leave it on?
    And welcome to the forum

I left it on and just masked off the black areas.

    Cool!
Great job! Looks better than that skin/wrap thing I did on mine. I'll have to figure a good color combo to go with.

By leaving it on how did you keep the paint out of the motors? I was afraid to do the same without getting paint everywhere :)

Jagerbomb52 he must be a paint/body man or very good-- as with me I'd get it all over me, the Q, the floor... I'd have to tape up my whole garage....hehehe.....

I used painters tape directly on the motor housings and gently tucked shredded paper towel between the motors and the drone body. I did do a little touch up with some acrylic flat black paint where needed.

Looks great, thanks for the info. Now I just need to decide what color(s) to go with.
I had to cut the skins/wrap a little to make it fit right and also use a xacto knife to punch some small holes to get the air out so I'm sure after flying a while it might start to peel up or something so I'd rather just paint it or buy a spare upper airframe and have it hydro dipped.

Excellent color choice. That really looks sharp! Are you going to paint the ST10 to match?

Not much difference from the original. I see it mostly from the bottom when it's flying and that coloring remained the same.
