Its easy to do in a few steps.

You will need a wireless method to connect to your camera such as a smart phone, Ipad or tablet.

In this example I will use An Ipad.

First turn on your Cgo2/Cgo3 camera. It can be mounted to your Q500 or on your steadygrip.

After your camera has fully powered up
Open your Ipad and click on Settings

    stepa.png
Next from the network menu select wifi

    Step1.png
Allow your wireless device to scan for wifi networks and once the camera appears in the list select it and connect
The default password used is 1234567890 Unless you have changed the password yourself.

    step2.png

Once you have established a network connection to your camera cgo2/cgo3
return to your ipads main screen and launch web browser, in this case safari browser is what I will use

    stepb.png

Once your browser is open enter your cameras ip address into the address/location area.
In my case The number I used was 192.168.42.1 Verify yours from the settings screen as shown below

    step3.png

Once you have entered your Ip address in your browser connect to your Yuneec camera
and browse all the files, photos and videos on your cameras sd card without the need to remove the card.

There ya have it. An easy way to access all the photos and videos on your Q500 without having to take out the sd card.

    Enjoy...

I found this a bit more difficult on my android phone but yes it does work with android phones and tablets.

Now if I can figure out how to connect my computers wifi to the camera it would be perfect :)

I believe the camera will issue an IP address to you, once you join the SSID.
You really do not have to static the IP.

The camera will always be 192.168.42.1
IF the ST10+ was online it would be 192.168.42.2
But since it is not online your Android or iOS device can be 192.168.42.2

    Thanks for the info

Thank you so much! What a PITA having to remove that SD card! Wish YUNEEC would update their software to allow playback via the ST10+ screen. Just need a quick way to access the directory to click on a file to PLAY. If video or picture is not good, include a DEL function to remove the file. Thank you so much!!

Just tried entering my IP address 192.168.42.2 in the Safari browser and does not go there. Is there a specific format that Safari expects as it doesn't seem to like just the numeric IP address? Did I miss something? BTW: I am connected to the CGO3 camera just fine as that's how I got the IP ADDRESS.

No ST10 does not have to be on line. The camera is the wifi connection.

Thought I would try this with my ipad 2nd gen. It would not connect at all and as you said it would time out. Tried my phone again (LG3G) android and it connected right away and showed the directories. Gues thats why they call them smart phones :)
Really don't know why the ipad will not connect.

I did enter 192.168.42.1 as the IP address, not the 192.162.42.1 as posted in my previous message posted. Unfortunately, still not gaining access. Hope there is a solution!

UPDATE: My camera's WiFi search showed the camera SSID as CGO3_7106FF, and connected successfully, but the IP address was shown as 192.168.42.3 on my Smartphone when it found the camera's network. Using GOOGLE Chrome, I entered into the address bar the recommended IP addresses with the following: 192.168.42.1 "Not Found", 192.168.42.2 "Not Found", 192.168.42.3 "Not Found."

Is there anything on my LAPTOP side that I should be checking to make sure it is seeing the camera's network, SSID and that the password 1234567890 was entered?

The ST10+ controller finds the Q500 just fine, and knows the SD card is in the camera. Just having trouble getting my laptop to connect and read the SD card. BTW: I do have an Apple IPhone 6 Plus which always finds the CGO3 camera on the Q500.

Hope I can eventually find a way to get the laptop to connect to the camera's network. NEEDLESS TO SAY, this has not been a painless process. Hope there is something simple I am missing that will solve this connection problem!

Laptops & desktops don't work. You need to try with a Ipad/Ipod or some smart phone.

In order to connect to the CGo wi fi the desktop or laptop or phone / tablet etcmust have a 5.8 wi fi capability. If not - no connection.

If you do have a wi fi connection then you can select the CGO wifi.

    The rest is history :)

no 5.8 ghz wi fi ? I assume as this is the only range you need. Older computers came with only 2.4 ghz

Have you been able to access the camera's network via a laptop? I have run into brick wall trying to access the SD card to retrieve the files. Hope you might have a fool-proof method that works! My Smartphone says the IP Address is 192.168.42.3. Not working at all.

Both my laptop and my desktop wifi cards are not compatible with connecting to the cgo cameras wifi. So the only thing I get connected with is my 2nd gen Ipad and my android smart phone. After connecting to the camera wifi I punch in the IP address 192.168.42.1 in any web browser I have and it takes me right to my files.
Sorry its not working out for you. I really don't know how much I would use this option but it is nice to know you can do it if you need to.
Hope you get it all sorted out.

I have the IPhone 6 Plus and it is not finding the camera network. In fact, the IPhone finds the camera and connects, but it shows the IP address as being 192.168.42.3, not 192.168.42.1 or 192.168. 42.2.

I will see if my IPad (1st generation) can connect, but at this point, my level of confidence is not very high. Hope I can figure this thing out.
