Got a new phone but now cannot connect my phone to my Steadygrip wifi... and I cannot log into my account through the app. It tells me I have a connection error...Ive uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times...didn't work.
    Need to use this tomorrow...

Forgive me if this is too basic, but your smart phone has to be "dual band" wi-fi. Most older phone aren't, and possibly a few newer phones. Not sure which camera you're using, but the CGO3 on my Q500-4k uses 5.8 GHz wi-fi rather than the older 2.4 GHz wi-fi. A dual band phone can communicate with either.

It is the Camera that has the WiFi not the Steadygrip. The SteadyGrip is just the holder and power source. You will need the correct App downloaded to the phone and functioning properly to connect to the camera.

    Questions:
Was the camera on the bird at some point in the past?

And did it function properly when attached to the bird?
