My Samsung Galaxy SIII works fine with the steady grip and CGO3 camera software, after reading reports that some work with standard firmware or EU firmware and that EU firmware only gets a limited range, as bog standard out of the box Q500 4K I'm getting about 2440 ft before lose video, as I purchased my package from Yuneec UK, I assuming its got the EU version of firmware installed, the only mod I have done was to the steady grip cutting the existing battery box out and soldering longer wires terminating with XT60 battery connector, through a small hole in the battery door and simply tape a old 2200 mAh 3s battery to the bottom, will probably at a later stage buy a smaller size battery and put it inside the battery box, it will then all fit in the yuneec supplied case.

New to the steady grip, followed all directions, using a Samsumg Mega, no go, getting that network anomaly message, toggled between wifi and no wifi, will call ATT tomorrow, sometimes they can walk you thru fixes for some apps (sometimes not).

Have you already installed the CGO software for the camera.

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yuneec.android.flyingexpert&hl=en_GB

With the camera switched on go to the wi fi settings on your phone and click scan then look through the list of available wi fi called CGO3 _folowed by the number of your camera, click of CGO3_****** when asked for pasword 1234567890 you should then be good to go, you don't say in your message what camera you are trying to connect. Note:- the above software is for CGO3 cameras only, hope this helps.

Hi from New Zealand Midego. Sorry, missed the initial thread on this subject. Is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S SM-T705 on your list of workable tablets?

Rookie needs help. My HTC M9 with the android app sees the CGO3 and controls the camera ok. I can capture stills ok and see them. When I start recording video from the phone, I see the SD card memory reducing indicating to me the SD card is recording video. When I stop recording video and look for the file. there is nothing in the My Resources tab of the phone app. How do I see what got captured?

Mrburns, thanks for the quick reply. Does this mean I can only see the shot by loading the SD card into my PC?

Happy New Year everybody. New 4K Steadygrip user here in the UK. I have a Nexus 4 and Hudl 2 tablet. Both have the app and both can see and connect to the wifi. Both show the camera view, but neither allow me to hide the telemetry information or access the camera controls. Anyone else experienced this, or do I just try other phones/tablets?
