Really hard to say if it poses any security risked, but data mining is real, and been around for a long time. Sometimes it's only purpose is to improve a product, see what features are used most, which get used little, or not at all, so future models can reflect preferences. Some collect data for marketing purposes, and sell information, but doubt that comes from many products anymore, since social media sites are such a goldmine. Apple products have always been big on customer data, but pretty sure they don't share. Reasonably sure the drones data is used for product development and marketing, and kept by DJI, not shared (why help the competition, at any price).

Just know that the Chinese government can get whatever data they want from local business without a warrant.
