Good morning everyone, Well it's finally here you now can do a commercial drone registration its the same way as the hobbies .. Just go back to your account sign in then you will see a box to the right for commercial drone registration and best part only 5.00 per one for 3 years very thankful for that

Now the "model aircraft" non-commercial registration is really a pilot registration, not for the drone itself. You can fly as many different drones as you want with your one registration number. Is the commercial version the same?

I just registered mine and I have a new FAA number. Do I need to change my label? If so, Drat!

from what I read you still need a sec 333 exemption to fly commercially

No, each UAS has to be registered separately. You are registering by serial number (if it has one). Even though a 333 exemption is in progress, this is still a good way to go. It looks like if you already have a 333 exemption, that you don't need to go through this process at all. I registered [commercial] as soon as I heard about it. Now I can get to work. Thank you FAA ;), sorry for all of my disparaging remarks.

Yes you still need an 333 so if you have one or its in the pending processes and you plan on doing this for commercial you need to get the new number and now the number is only good for 1 unit as its 5.00 per unit

I think I wasted $95 to have my 333 exemption done for me last October. :(
