Too much information on display for general use but here's a dashware guage I'm working on that displays every parameter there is in the st10's telemtry file. There's an awful lot of data on there which means the video's probably best viewed full screen.

Caveat: the telemtry file needs modifying before dashware can use it and I've not yet got all the outputs showing any meaningful data, but it's getting there!

Great template, a lot of work has gone into that.
    Very handy

    Thanks MrBurns.

I think I've now got all the fields in the Q500 telemetry file displaying correctly but it's still a mystery what some of them are supposed to represent, and the values in a couple of other fields never seem to change from booting up the ST10 to turning it back off. A handy diagnostic tool none the less since it's a good deal easier to step through a video than it is a telemetry file.

I know what you mean about the brain freezure, I've had it for the best part of a month now.

I've just put a quick web page up about it with a download link if you want to give it a bash. Please let me know how you get on.

I downloaded Dashware and put an SD card in my ST10+ but am not smart enough to figure out how to import the data and to make overlays lol.

Chad, Dashware is a computer program to incorporate your telemetry Files onto your videos. Search Dashware & find the forum about how to use it & get ur telemitey file off the controller. It takes a few steps up you'll learn it

You can get the telemtry files from the St10 into your pc through an ordinary usb cable but then you'll need the St2dash program to convert them into the format that dashware needs. It's all a bit convoluted I'm afraid but that's the nature of the beast. Why Yuneec doesn't supply software to read and display their own ST10 created files is totally beyond me... they MUST have it or they couldn't make use of their own telemtry and ground station video files.

    Try to download CLC
    http://yuneec-forum.com/resources/chromalogconverter.60/
and have a look at the manual. It explains the whole procedure. And CLC "translates" the telemetry-files so that Dashware "likes" them better.
The output *.csv-file(s) should work with Colin's Template too!

There are several q500-related templates doing the rounds but none that I was able to find is set up to cater for all the data fields that the ST10 records. For example mine is the only one I've seen that displays the "tas" and "press_compass_status" fields (plus many others).
I used the "Yuneec Q500 v1.4.xml" as a starting point for my own version which is also downloadable from http://www.seafax.co.uk/index.php?id=dashware-guages

Could I get the meaning and possible output variables for these. it'll make
using Dashware a bit simpler for custom gauges.

    thanks,

note: this list is after running the file through sd2dash of course.

    Hi Russel,

distance_from_start and altitude (means altitude absolute, instead of ascent which is relative to start point and recorded in the telemetry data; both in meters) are computed, the rest of the columns are taken from original telemetry CSV. Those are described (as far as I could find out) here in Appendix: http://h-elsner.mooo.com/mydat/Q500log2kml_en.pdf

The proper Dashware profile for this is "Yuneec Q500 v1.5" from http://www.drohnen-forum.de/index.p...sh-der-Flightlog-Konverter-für-die-ST10-Q500/
This profile works then also Typhoon H and Blade Chroma.
