How many seconds does the camera record full motion before switching to slow motion?

The camera doesn't actually record in slow motion. That effect is created
when you are editing the video.
If you want to create slow-motion video, you have to record at a higher
frame rate and then play it back at a slower frame rate.

For instance, let's say that you are recording at 1920X1080 120FPS.
When you are editing the video and select 50% playback speed,
it will render the video at 60FPS and play back at 1/2 of the original speed.
If you select 25% playback speed, it will render at 30 FPS and
play back at 1/4 of the original speed.
It still shows all the frames, it just plays them back at a slower rate.
You could do this with a video recorded at a lower FPS but it won't
be nearly as smooth when played back.
