    Me, me, me me lol

    Did you get your quote?

I assume you attached the plates to the battery cover so that the whole assembly simply attaches by sliding it in place?

I too, just gathered all the pieces parts, stealing from the very first
    posts.....how to.

Is that "charger" you link to, gonna work with that Zippy 1000 shown
on the very first post ? Ain't looking for anything fancy or $$$$$'s.
Just needing to charge that one single battery for use in the Grip. [nothing else]

I bought a Zippy Compact 1000mAh battery, instead of the Zippy Flightmax in the video.
I found out that it comes with an XT60 connector, instead of the JST connector of the Flightmax.
The cables for the XT60 seems to be a lot larger compared to the Steady Grip's power cables. I was wondering how shall I connect the steady grip power cable to the XT60?
    - Would it to OK to have an XT60 female connector, and older it to those thin cables of the grip?
    - otherwise, shall I be using an XT60 to JST converter, and install a JST to the grip cables?

You could do that. You could also find a spare balance charge lead and replace one end with a JST connector. The balance cable has the power and ground wires - ignore the other wires since they connect to the point between the cells in the battery pack, so just clip them off. The XT60 is bulky and not needed in this situation.

Ha, I read this post from the beginning and its a great thread. Love the way the battery started out as a 1000mah mod and moved on up rapidly. I was waiting for the person that was going to come along with a mount and a 10,000mah 3S connected up. lol. I have got to do this mod. Thanks for the great hints guys!

One post did hit me though early on, are you guys saying when connected up there is no audio capability without going in an modifying the camera? Sorry but I really have not even pulled out the steady grip and even looked at it up to this point. Really never though it might be useful.

    Cheers

    Hi guys,

I decided to make this change in the steadygrip too.
    I used a 2800mah 3s 30C lipo battery, 1 Lipo low voltage alarm and a JST connector
Since I did not find tutorials in Spanish, I recorded it. Here I leave the video with my modification.

    Greetings from Barcelona ;);)
