Q500 4K Newbie Wondering Why?

    Hey everyone I just received my first Yuneec Q500 4K a few days ago. Took it out for the first time and really thought , Why? I was only about 0-10 ft off the ground and I flew to neighbors yard 75" and I'll be damned if I didn't have to retrieve it because it couldn't make it back to me bc of 8-10 mph wind? Really. Here in Oklahoma it may spend / of the year in the closet. Then it will have been in there so long it won't want to come out of the closet. That was really pretty good. Why didn't design it to be better in the wind?

    Actually, the Q500 should manage this without any problems, but only if the slider on the right is set to Hare (with turtle only 60% power). Or you make RTH, then the full power is also used.

    With more wind, GPS shutdown can serve as a last resort. Then the Q500 is able to fly up to 18m/s. But then you have to be able to steer well.
