New batteries but they were just cheap batteries. From what I have gathered from other posting I take it I should buy a pack of Energizer.

ok let do some checklist first..
1- when the cgo camera was installed on the bird turns on as well as the st10 turned on, does your phone wifi detect the cgoxxxx as available wifi connection?

2-if it does so, try connect and enter wifi password: 1234567890

3-if even with the st10 connected to camera on the bird but your phone didnt detect the cgo wifi broadcasting...means your phone wifi range not compatible...

It does support it, I have connected to the camera while it was on the drone. While on the steady gripe even the remote control can not connect.

And the steady grip gimble would turn on and operate. I could adjust the angle with the wheel but there was not cgoxxx wifi to be found.

It was the batteries, after I used a set of good Duracell rechargeable batteries and everything worked fine.

What kind of battery life are you getting out of 8 fully charged rechargeable batteries?

I was able to leave it turned on for a couple of hours, that was mostly me just leaving it sitting on a table to try and see how long it would last.
