Hello. I am still having Q500 bouncey landing issues. It has gotten worse and worse to a point it is
all most un landable. I am not comfortable using the stop button to get it down. Which component actually controls this aspect of landing? Can it be checked or changed ? If no fix available it while remain on the shelf and will steer way from Yuneec.

The flight controller with it's sensors gyro, accelerometer and barometer. Except barometer all those components are on mainbord.

Change mainboard is too expensive for this oldtimer. Checking can be done in GUI and limited by flight logs.

Yuneec is out of consumer marked. Q500 is very old - no firmware update anymore since years. I think a final fix is only possible in firmware.

Aging sensors and temperature drift may be the cause when the behavior gets worse. You should do a accelerometer calibration. For Blade 350QX there was a temperature calibration procedure, for Q500 (nearly same sensors) I do not know such a procedure.

Thanks for your input. Yes its old but flies great other than the bounce. What would happen if the barometer was unhokked I wonder.

is the pressure sensor a seperate part that can be easily changed?
