We like helping people with their problems. That's what we're here for. :)

Please do a few things to help us help you.

    1. Read your manual. ...and then read it again. I know it doesn't cover everything
and doesn't explain some things well, but it's a great place to start and you should
    do it anyway.

    2. Use the search function. Chances are, your problem has already been covered.
You'll get your answer faster that way, as well. We also have some great How-To's
and tutorials that can answer many of your questions or problems.

    3. Please put (at least) your country in your avatar. There are differences in firmware
between different regions and we don't want to give you bad advice if we assume that
you are somewhere that you are not. Also, if there is someone near you that can help
you in person, they can see where you are. (We just had a situation like this a few days
ago and they figured a problem out in 5 minutes that we had spent days working on.)

    4. There are no dumb questions. If you don't know something or understand
something, please ask. Especially if you don't understand some advice you
are given. No one will look down on you. We were all beginners once and
    we haven't forgotten that.

    5. Provide as much information as possible.
    * Is the quadcopter brand new?
    * Have you done any firmware updates?
    * What version(s) of firmaware are you running?
    * Which camera are you using?
    * What happened right before the problem? Did you do an update, crash the
    quadcopter or something else?
    * Providing as much information as possible will get you a faster answer
    and a more accurate answer!
    * Again, please put your location in your avatar (profile) and make it visible.

    6. If your question doesn't get answered right away, please be patient. We will
try to get to everyone. This is a very busy time for us. If you feel that your
problem or question has gotten lost in the rush of posts, just politely
bump it up. Do not be demanding about it. This is a peer-to-peer support
group and we don't get paid to do this. (See number 8)

    7. Be polite, courteous and don't use adult language. If you have a problem
with someone, please contact a moderator. (We haven't had to break up
any fights yet and we'd like to keep it that way.) :)

    8. We are not affiliated with Yuneec. We can answer most questions and
provide solutions to most problems, but ultimately, we may have to
refer you to Yuneec for a resolution.

    9. Always use your own judgment on any advice you are given. We have
a large number of very knowledgeable and experienced people here,
but sometimes, inaccurate information slips through.

(If anyone wants to add to this list, please post below and I'll add your suggestion.) :)

    Thank you! :)

I debated on putting that in when I wrote it considering that Yuneec didn't do
the best job with writing it and they haven't done much to update it.
(Hello Yuneec! We could use a revised manual and LED warning chart!)

Since you suggested it, I went ahead and added it.
    Thanks! :)

I also added "Use the search function". I meant to put that in there....
I've answered the "Why can't I take a picture" question 3 times just this week.

I would like to say that everyone at least fill out your part of your profile that tells us where you are from. It would help sometimes when answering questions.

I did a search on wanting to change my email address on the forum and nothing came up. The email address I have with this forum I'm not using that much and I'm going to close it. I would like to change it to my personal one, how would I go about doing that? Do I need to set up a whole new account? Thanks!

I've read the manual, there is little or nothing on retrieving the video from the camera. It wont come of with a reader and although I had to buy a micro 5 pin USB cord, I'm not sure how to read it off the camera with the micro SD inserted. I've been fooling with this thing for a month and have yet to see anything but still pictures.

Great suggestions and I might add that when you receive an answer to your question in the open Forums or you start a "conversation" with someone and get an answer back, please reply that you received it.

    Dear Nettle Creak,

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your ground rules and advice for us newbies is very helpful and appreciated. I am only posting questions after hours and hours of reading and being unable to figure something out. I am very mechanical but this realm, UAVs, is new to me. Please know I'm doing my best but sometimes, right before I put my head through the wall, I come to you all.....
