I have had a steady grip for almost a year and I've never used it. Could I use normal AAA's or do they have to be rechargeable? I have the cgo2 app, is there a cgo3 app?

I can't advise you on the batteries but I can tell you that there is a CGO app. That's how it is listed CGO. It is supposed to be for the CGO3 and if I read correctly (I downloaded it for use with my Typhoon H just haven't tested it yet) will work with the CGO3+ as well.

Is this for iPhone? If so do an App Search for CGo3. It should bring up a couple of apps. The one named CGO is the one you are looking for. It does not have the number 3 in it. Just plain CGO.

Cgo app works with android. For battery you can make easy modification and use lipo 3s battery. Works much much longer than the AA batteries. You can find tutorials on YouTube for the modification
