I'm sure this has probably been covered, but is there any solution besides deleting the sound file involved? What sets high volume level on initial boot up? I don't want to wake up the neighborhood every time I turn this thing on LOL.

Find a set of ear buds ( I use the ones that came with my smart phone) that fit the side headphone jack. Just pull them back out after boot up

When you have the controller turned on, at the bottom of the screen you see the minus, plus, menu or home buttons that are built into the screen. Use the plus or minus to adjust the volume

That does not work for the boot up sound.

I use a small piece of colostomy tape (like blenderm but has holes in it) from pharmacy (chemist) and cover the holes on the back. knocks volume down by half!
