    I asked for this information months ago but Yuneec would NOT divulge any information regarding some of this reserved data.

    fsk_rssi = Frequency Shift Key / Received Signal Strength Indicator
    fsk_rssi is the protocol that allows for simultaneous two way communication.

    Tas stands for Telemetry Antenna System, what ever that is

    From one of our members:
    imu_status Inertial Management Unit, which constantly checks in with the gyroscope, the accelerometer, and the compass to keep the bird on an even keel. I don't know what the status codes refer to.

    lolz...

    In the particular log I'm looking at, I'm reading values of 12 and 11 for f_mode (flight mode) and motor_status at a particular point in time.

    yup, that timestamp accurately coincides with a crash into a tree.

    So..cool that the logging system works as well as it does! o_O

    Considering one of the main characteristics for this bird is it's ease of operation for the general non skilled (noob) remote control flying camera, it's not too much to ask them to make a one click app for just such a purpose.

    Pomen GTR. I only record in 1080p. So thats not the issue. Thxs anyways for ur help...

    I have tried this:

    In rare cases, user computers are configured in a way that prevents DashWare (and similar video publishing applications) from operating well. Below are steps that have been used by customers to resolve their issues. The most common fixes are listed first. Please contact Support if they do not resolve yours.

    • Use the video file created by your camera. If you want to use another video editor, please do it after adding the gauges.
    • Install the latest version of DashWare. It can be found and installed for free from our Download page.
    • Update your video drivers.
    • Run Windows Update. If you choose to not install all available updates, please install any related to .NET and video display.
    • Uninstall QuickTime and then install the latest version. We don’t know why this works but it does. Make sure to uninstall instead of just performing an update.
    • Update the software that came with your camera. Uninstalling first is not necessary.
    • Run the Windows Media FixIt http://support2.microsoft.com/mats/windows_media_player_diagnostic/.
    • Install the Full version of the K-Lite codec pack. NOTE: There are ads for other software on this page that look like download links. Please only download using the link that says Download@MajorGeeks.Once it is installed, please run the Windows Fixit listed above again.

    Here is a screenshot from today, flying around the hood. 300m altitude, and vids cooming soon :D

    'fsk_rssi' indicates the RC signal strength received by copter, I guess in dBm (dBm makes sense from values that are there).
    'tas' stands for True Air Speed in meter per seconds. It indicates how fast the copter is running.

    Also intresting are Error flags which are set bitwise (there may be combinations of the error flags, i.e. 33 is Compass Calibration Warning and Voltage Warning 1 together):
    ERROR_FLAG_AIRPORT_WARNING = 128;
    ERROR_FLAG_FLYAWAY_CHECKER_WARNING = 64;
    ERROR_FLAG_COMPASS_CALIBRATION_WARNING = 32;
    ERROR_FLAG_HIGH_TEMPERATURE_WARNING = 16;
    ERROR_FLAG_COMPLETE_MOTOR_ESC_FAILURE = 8;
    ERROR_FLAG_MOTOR_FAILSAFE_MODE = 4;
    ERROR_FLAG_VOLTAGE_WARNING2 = 2;
    ERROR_FLAG_VOLTAGE_WARNING1 = 1;

    By the way I saw a lot of Compass Calibration Warnings during flights, also from others i.e. in exmaps.com. Strange - seems to be a Yuneec problem.

    I use ST2Dash to convert the telemetry file to work with DashWare... simple, easy, takes a couple seconds.

    This works even better and has
    • Evaluate and save telemetry data from copter (Q500, Chroma, 350QX) as KML- or KMZ-files (flight path for Google Earth), GPX for other map services, for import to Dashware in order to get telemetry data in videos or as HTML-Report for documentation.
    • Overview with some important information for the flights in a table form (ceiling, max. air speed, max. distance, warnings, etc).
    • Browse raw data of telemetry files.
    • Graphic elevation histogram and voltage curve.
    • Analyze a predefined data area to see i.e average speed, climb rate…
    Update V2.3: Support of older ST10 Firmware, Cursor in chart improved.
    Update V2.4: Support for Typhoon H and H920; Check of frequency of telemetry data.

    Four new flight modes (f_mode) added:
    26 FMODE_TASK_CCC (Task Curve Cable Cam)
    27 FMODE_TASK_JOUR (Task Journey)
    28 FMODE_TASK_POI (Task Point of Interest)
    29 FMODE_TASK_ORBIT (Task Orbit)

    imu_status "Aircraft Sonar On" is bit 4 (=16).

    I never really paid attention to it before. I wonder where it is taking the information from, the telemetry file or the time stamp on the video file?
    Don't use dashware to much anymore because of the long render times but if I do I will have to check into that.

    I would say it's getting it from the telemetry file since it's there. just won't except it correctly. also noticed the header line for the date and time is blank. ??? everything else like 'yaw', etc. have a header name that dashware looks at...???

    If you use ST2DASH or q500log2kml to convert telemetry file to an input file for Dashware + profile "Yuneec Q500 v1.5.xml" then you have all columns with header, also 'datetime' is there.
