Has anyone on here used one of these modes and had their ST10+ inside the Vehicle with them? I was wondering if there would be some problems with that?

I tried it one time with my Blade350Qx3 and it did not response very well. I was in a SxS Offroad Vehicle. It had a Metal Cage with a plastic roof. Just curious to here other peoples results.

I have done it a few times with no problems.
I prefer the ST10+ to the wizard inside a vehical as I can monitor the quad on the screen. I even take it in the canoe :)

Where did you have the St10+ while in the vehicle....On the Dash.

Boy you sure had alot of trust while going down that road next to those power lines.

    LOL
Ya they did give me a few moments of where is the quad but it turned out OK.
The St10+ was sitting between the front seats on the split part. I wanted it on the dash but I could not be sure it would not slide around so I went with it next to me between the seats. I have talk to others that said they will sit in the car during winter flying and point the ST10+ out the window just to stay warm so I guess if your close enough its not a problem.

I first tried using the ST10 in my 1974 VW Super Beetle because it has a sliding sun roof. I had some concerns that the communication between the controller and my Q500 4K might be interrupted by sheet metal so out of the barn comes my Beetle. It worked so well, that I tried it again in my Chevrolet Volt. My concern using my other car (no sunroof) that since I was driving an electric vehicle that all the EMF might interfere with the link between the controller and the drone. The Q500 4K flew flawlessly from the Volt and in fact, I took it up to 400 feet, in bad winds (you can see in my video) and it stuck right with me. I did (and will only do) this in a rural area. I kept the ST10 on the passenger seat in both vehicles.

I was able to fly the drone in front of me, behind me and directly above me, while having to push a clutch and shift gears in the VW. It was much easier in the Volt. I even got out of the VW and opened a gate (I live on a ranch) and the Q500 stayed right above the VW like a well trained German Shepherd. (I gave it a Milk Bone when we finished and said "Good Drone"...)

Here is my latest video showing some of the clips flying above the VW and later, the Chevrolet Volt. (SPOILER ALERT... I don't make videos showing beautiful scenes and using tranquil music. I edit the hell out of them and I purposely look for offbeat music, so be warned...) But do NOTICE THE WINDS AND HOW STABLE THE VIDEO IS, ON THE LOW SHOTS AND OBSERVE THE VEGETATION BEING BLOWN AROUND.) Most of the misc. scenes though I shot from my bucket truck, but a number of clips are from my cars. The bucket truck elevates me to 38 feet off the ground and WOW does that increase the range between the drone and the controller.

The Weather Gods were with you my friend. I wish we had no wind here. Beautiful video.

You'll get the hang of it. The learning curve for me was and continues to be steep (MS lesions in my brain, no joke) but the big thing is to make sure you get the compass calibration done prior to flight... And, charge your batteries in a safe location. I had no idea when I ordered my first drone (a DJI Phantom 3 Professional) that the batteries needed a baby-sitter.

Stay away from areas having power lines, trees and distractions. Check the KP index prior to flight (Hover is a great app for that). Start off in the turtle mode, and then each flight after that is downhill.

    Good luck amigo.

Once should be okay if you are flying basically at the same location. I go as far away from the calibration point as 50 miles and have not had any problems. Some say to recalibrate if you move locations more than 30 miles.

Jagerbomb52, very nice footage. I live in Ontario but have not been to that part of the province yet. The contrast between the clouds and the sky is great, did you have a filter on the camera?

That was almost two batteries. One for the road in and one out on the water. Didn't want to get caught short out on the water.

Yes I had a ND8 Polar Pro filter on.
